A combination of a segment I'd like to do more regularly. That being, Whatcha Playin? and Whatcha Watchin? I dunno, I really haven't written much in the ole' blog the past few months and that's a shame.
Well to start, I'm just about done with Persona 4 - or at least my initial playthrough of the game. I'm at the "last" dungeon, and I'm debating if I should attempt to do the bonus dungeon in order to get the "True" Ending. I'm sure I'll try it at least, but I'm not sure if I'm up to snuff. I've really enjoyed the game, but for whatever reason I just haven't hit it up as hard as I did with Persona 3. I guess I just have more games to play at the moment.
Sadly this cycle isn't as complete as I would like it to be. I missed out on maxing a couple of the Social Links, and I'm pretty short on cash and rather unwilling to invest the time to complete the Persona Compendium. I'd like to at least get the top tier Personas if I can get to a high enough level. I'm sure I'll do a second cycle at some point, I'm just not so sure about doing it right away.
I'm also playing Final Fantasy IV DS finally. I don't know why I didn't play it when it first came out, wasn't in the mood I guess? But I'm totally digging it now. I really love the original game and I've played through it quite a few times. But the remakes has made things fresh and exciting again and gives me the opportunity to mess around with the new augment system, which is neat. I'm just about to go to the underworld for the first time so I think that's a good half-way point, give or take.
Finally got a working 360 again and I didn't waste much time diving into the new DLC for both Fallout 3 and Fable 2. Operation Anchorage, the Fallout 3 DLC is interesting. It's much linear than the main game putting you into a VR simulation stripped of all your equipment and items, providing you stock equipment and health/ammo refill stations along the way. Sadly I didn't complete everything there was to do since I seemingly missed four pieces of intel somehow, but that lasted a couple hours. Fun times.
I just now finished everything there is to do in Knothole Island - the Fable 2 DLC. It only took about three hours. The quest line can be completely pretty quickly and didn't really offer and challenge to my decked out character. The most time consuming part was collecting a bunch of random crap to trade at the new store on the island. It wasn't too bad though and I made out with several new complete outfits and some unique weapons. I was a bit disappointed when I first loaded the game up again because I forgot how ugly my now-female character was. Luckily the Knothole Island DLC provided two outfits which work out pretty nicely. A skimpy Barbarian Woman outfit, and a fully clad Armored Knight. I like both of them, though the Knight one is certainly the coolest outfit in the game imo.
Finally, I've just been playing a lot of WoW. Well it's slowed down a bit the past few days since I finally hit 80 on my Shaman. I'm waiting for Jerry's girlfriend to transfer to our server since she is going to help both of us afford epic flying. And god it couldn't happen fast enough, I'm tired of my ghetto ass mount. Aside from that I made a little progress on my now-32 Warrior today. That's still on Recruit-a-Friend tripple exp.
Enough with the games, now a brief moment to talk about what I've been watching.
The usual new releases of Toradora, Index, Casshren, and Clannad. One of the most recent episodes of Toradora has me really regretting not putting it on the actual Anime of The Year list. I was a bit annoyed with the show at some points, but god damn that episode was something else. It was powerful, and awesome, and I'm totally in love with the show. Index is even weirder than usual in the newest episodes. Casshren is still depressing. And Clannad.... well Clannad is fucked up. I don't know what to say about that show. The first series was pretty good, but this After Story bullshit is just fucked up, and honestly kind of boring. I dunno, I'll see how it turns out.
I haven't actually started to watch any of the new shows this season, but I did browse through most of them. There's a lot of crap to be honest, and most of them are weird in some way. I'm not sure how many of them I'll actually keep up with. But I have fallen in love with one in particular called Maria Hollic. It's weird too, but in a good, hilarious kind of way. Basically the show is about a Lesbian who goes to an all girl school in hopes of finding a lover. Just when she thinks shes found someone who just so happens to look strikingly similar to Misa from Death Note - it turns out to be a trap. Hilarity ensues. And the opening is awesome. I love it from the little I've watched so far, so I'll keep you posted.
Finally, just about caught up on One Piece and it looks like we're getting to the end of The Thriller Bark arc. I can't wait to get me some hot Boa action. Perona was cute though, too bad she went bye-bye.
Well, that about wraps up my little update. Hopefully I'll start posting more frequently again.
